Guest Posting Guidelines

Standard 500+ Word Blog Post

• Title – be as creative as possible.  Title will include prefix “Guest Post: ” of 12 characters.  Google displays a maximum of 71 characters so ideally the title should be under 59 characters (including spaces).  This is not a requirement but a recommendation so that the title creates the most impact in search engine results.
• Language – UK English, informal and free flowing. High standard of grammar required. 500+ words for each post.
• Content – 100% unique with an informative and educational tone. Aim content towards readers rather than just search engines.  Keyword rich content will be rejected. Content must be relevant to our blog and we generally like how tos or top tips.
• Links – all outbound links must be relevant to the content but not in a way that promotes the link itself. No more than 2 links per post.  These should be below the fold (not in the first 250 words of the post) and preferably located in the Author Bio.  Links should be on the same domain and not be in bold, italic, H1 – H6 etc.
• Image – an image is not required but preferred.  All images must be unique. Please use an informal description of the image to use as the alt text.
• Aesthetics – include bullet-points, numbered lists and subheadings to improve the appeal of the blog post.

External Links Guidance

• Relevance – you should only link out to sites that are relevant to the post and offer informative content for readers.
• Standard – the site should be complete with no half-finished pages or 404 errors.  Check the site is well designed and content aligned correctly.  The site should have a fast loading speed and be easy to navigate.
• Reliability – the site should be trustworthy and provide reliable content for readers. If linking out to company sites we generally preffer registered companies (ltd, llc, plc etc.) with the registration number clearly provided along with contact details (physical address and phone number).
• Family Friendly – avoid linking out to any adult sites or those that may potentially contain offensive  or illegal content.  Choose family friendly sites.
• Affiliate Links – no affiliate links or links to Made For AdSense sites.
• Redirects – No links that redirect to another domain.

Submitting Guidance

When you have completed the post and checked it for errors you can then submit.

• Email the post to us at info@thservices.co.uk.
• Include the proposed article in MS Word or .txt format.
• Please confirm in the email that you have read these guidelines.
• We reserve the right to reject any article at our own discretion.
